Toyota Corolla best-selling car of all time

Did you know that the best-selling car of all-time is the Toyota Corolla?

In this blog post, we leave a tribute to the Japanese car giant, who has produced in the region of 40 million Corollas and counting (as of July, 2013).

If you own one, selling your Toyota Corolla on to trusted car buyers online will not be a problem. There’s a reason why there are so many! They are a reliable and very saleable family car.

Beetle-juice

In 1997, the Corolla overtook the Volkswagen Beetle to take the coveted title of best selling nameplate in the world.

The compact car has since been regarded as one the best general purpose cars. Even today, the 2014 Toyota Corolla is still kicking butt, as you can read in the Autoblog First Drive review.

It’s sleek profile is not the only eye-catching detail of this vehicle. With a mighty 1.8-litre engine, front-wheel drive and a healthy fuel consumption, the motor is a must-have for the city slicker.

Did you know that the Ford Fiesta has been the best-selling car in the UK for the past four years?

You’ll have no fear when you come to selling your Ford to trusted car buyers, knowing there is always such a huge demand for the manufacturer – particularly Ford Fiestas.

There was once a time when a Ford Fiesta was notorious for being a joyrider’s dream car. In the last 10 to 20 years, things have changed…

Ford Fiesta frenzy

The Ford Fiesta first hit our shores in 1976. The supermini is now in its sixth generation (Mark VI) and couldn’t be any popular.

Front-engined and front-wheel drive, the more recent sportier models are understandably now an unashamedly favourite on many a person’s car list.

Since its inception, the Fiesta has sold over 16 million units worldwide.

Ford Fiesta ST – the edgier cousin

If you’re still not convinced by the Ford Fiesta’s pedigree, the Ford Fiesta ST sporty subcompact might change your mind.

The new 2014 Ford Fiesta ST performance model will start the race amongst car manufacturers in the name of frolicsome subcompacts.

Currently, there is little competition on this stage, with the Fiat 500 Abarth and Mini Cooper S the nearest threats in Europe.

Either way, this news should come as no surprise as the Ford Fiesta continues to hold the crown for the UK’s best-selling car.

Fiesta fun

Let’s not get bogged down with number or claims to fame. I’d rather we take a look at what makes the Ford Fiesta fun, and what has ultimately led to its high sales.

A favourite video of mine floating about on the web is the Ford Fiesta shopping centre chase from BBC’s Top Gear.

A fan wrote in to complain that Top Gear didn’t do proper car reviews anymore, so in response, Jeremy Clarkson takes the new Ford Fiesta on a ‘serious’ road test.
